It’s been a while…

Hola!

It’s been a while :) last post I wrote myself was ummmm sometime in April I guess…I know you guys are all bored with the same opening for each and every post I personally write.

Right now I’m in Kerala. Been here since last month 20th or so. In cochin for 10 days with amazing Papaya guys for a photo shoot. We have started with the ‘PatchWork’ marketing and so photo shoot was the first in the list. Making a world class publicity design for the album is one of the perfectionist agenda we have. Being a designer myself I’m very much particular about that. First impression about a product in the music store is definitely the CD inlay or the poster. ‘Patchwork’ being an indian-international product, we went with Papaya in Cochin. Best in town for the best designs. Let me tell you I’m so much obsessed with the first draft of my pics I got from the photographer…:D I’m never confident enough to design any print material for myself. When we started out company in Dubai, I got the logo designed from US :)

Patchwork music part is not complete, we had planned to release the audio in July…but the singers and other artists are busy with their tours and other projects. As I had posted in my Facebook earlier, the completion of the music part fully depends on the availability of the singers and musicians we intend to bring in. I’m waiting for 3-4 songs to be programmed and sung, few other completed songs to be sung. My job was done almost 2 months ago and since then I’m chasing all these artists and following up on the whole thing :D

We are hoping to release the project by September for sure. Just after the month of Ramadan so you don’t have to make excuse to buy the CD :P

The album can be pre- ordered through the Facebook page and first 100 orders will receive a gift hamper ;) Like it?

Keep in touch at Facebook and Twitter

Cheers to all who have been following me closely and reading all my updates.

Be back soon!

Trying to make it ‘regular’

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

It’s been sometime I’m thinking of making the blog alive and keep it breathing. I’m not that active online these days with business and music taking over my time. No, don’t get wrong ideas of me in office or recording studios 24/7, I do eat, sleep and watch IPL :D

Design office in Bangalore was started in february, registration process all happening and I’m meeting and communicating with some of the initial ‘potential’ clients for their web/interactive solutions. Things are happening.

Music part is good as well. New album project is slow as we are waiting for some lyrics to come and few singer’s dates and replies. I need to submit some cues for the Documentary project I’m working on. Will be meeting the director on 9th hopefully and so I will get to work today full on. ‘Patchwork’ works will continue simultaneously.

Had a good time tonight with some of the friends here at cousin’s place. Sheesha in the garden and some jokes. Now it’s very late that I won’t be able ‘wake up’ if I sleep now. Killing some time watching tv and setting my blog feed in Twitterfeed.

I will try my best to make a post a week atleast about stuff I like to share and more updates about my projects and life.

Now watching tv and planning to have a black coffee. Also doing some research on Kathakali Music

Cheers

Busy-ness and Music

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Hello world,

For those who are wondering if I’m alive…I’m very much alive here!

It’s been busiest time I have ever had. Last 3-4 months is like a turning point of my life definitely. I have always had a dilemma about what to focus on – music or design business – and now I’m pretty much clear what I want to do and I’m very much comfortable.

FYI, I’m settling down here in Bangalore, India with a new office of RightClick Interactive. We will be a full service new media agency and call us for online marketing and web designs. And about the music. I haven’t left the passion called music that’s been with me since I was 10. In late 2009, I used to tweet my positivity about this year and I was not wrong at all friends :)

This year musically is perfect for me. Working on an international project ‘PatchWork’ as of now. 13 song album will include instrumental tracks (most of them you have heard through my facebook fan page already) and few new compositions in Hindi. My first ever international collaboration project ‘Show me love’ featuring Moilim Yacoub will be one of the tracks. Infact we had around 17 tracks and it was kind of heart breaking to choose from my own ‘babies’. Album will feature some amazing musicians from India and abroad. Already recorded a flute song with Seetha Shivaswamy (Texas), a beautiful hindi track with Anaitha Nair and now waiting for works from International Oud/Guitar artist Musthafa Stefan Dill. And we have few surprises so let me shut info about PatchWork. Expected to be in stores by June first week.

In May, it is background score of a documentary and I have committed a Indian international movie as well. Documentary will have Kathakali Music fused with soft western contemporary/classical music. The movie is also a fusion of Carnatic (Sanskrit shlokas basically) and contemporary music. I loved both the concepts.

This year as of now I have 2 more album releases. But will talk about it later :)

A million thanks to everyone who has joined my facebook fan page and encouraged me with your kind words, it does mean a lot to me and keep me going. We crossed 2000 fans 2 weeks ago. Thanks everyone.

So that’s for now. I will try to write something regularly so you guys don’t stop coming to see the updates :D

I have opened my blog few times thinking of posting something and I close it finding myself so blank to write anything. Anyways there are so many things happening in life and you guys know I’m very positive about life. Will post more positive thoughts and news updates from my small busy life.

Next update would be about my website re-design and more about the music projects in hand.

Take care
Love you all
Ifthi
